About the Team/RoleChanging the world isn't easy, and we have a lot of work ahead of us.From new product features, to automation, to creating and supporting microservices, we've got more work than we can handle and we're looking for great people to come along for the ride.How you'll make an impactA highly motivated engineer who loves working on small, high performing teams Collaborative, a solid communicator, and work well with your team and stakeholders Someone who cares deeply for team results, checks your ego at the door, and takes pride in owning resultsA mentor who is capable at guiding the technical development of less experienced developers at the functional, component architectural levelsA professional who can advocate strongly for positions and still be 100% behind team decisions even if they don't go your wayComfortable balancing the need to move fast with the realities of working in a highly regulated space like paymentsPick up new technology and switch between tech stacks with a minimum of fussAre comfortable working on front-end web code, back end services, data stores, and infrastructure systemsAre a solid engineer with the desire and ability to learn how to design scalable, maintainable, and resilient modern software architecturesHave experience writing modern software deployed in the cloudAre comfortable with encryption schemes, modern APIs, and front-end frameworksHave worked on agile teams to deliver software iterativelyExperience you'll bring Significant and demonstrable development experience Experience with Golang or Java, MongoDB, AWS, and Terraform Demonstrable experience developing internal/external web services Demonstrable experience writing well-formed unit, component, and integration tests and have an in-depth understanding of the test pyramid BDD knowledge; Demonstrable working understanding of at least one modern web framework Demonstrable working understanding of NoSQL and SQL datastoresExperienced with building/enhancing development pipelines.Experience with IaC (infrastructure as code), Containerization and Kubernetes.Can demonstrate critical thinking skills through past accomplishments; Strong communication and interpersonal skills;It would be great, if you had already had the opportunity to work:On projects or open-source work you have contributed to in your own timeExperience with systems engineering and automation.
