About usJoining Busuu means being part of one of the top EdTech companies in the world, a multiple award-winner recognised for its innovation and impact in language learning.Busuu's vision is to empower people through languages.We are the world's largest online community for language learning, with 120+ million registered users.We make learning a language easy by combining AI-powered courses with feedback from our global community of native speakers and lesson content designed for real life.Busuu is part of the global Chegg family.Chegg is the leading student-first connected learning platform and a NYSE listed company.What does a Freelance Online Teacher do at Busuu?You'll teach language lessons that help to educate Busuu students.On a day-to-day basis, your responsibilities are likely to include:Planning, preparing and teaching online language private (1:1) lessons Group lessons (up to 5 people in EN, ES, FR, DE, IT, NL) for corporate client students (45 minute lessons)What we're looking for in a Freelance Online English Teacher:C2 Level of teaching language Valid teaching certificate such as TEFL/CELTA or related university degreesExperience in online teachingFluency (B1 or above) in a second languagePrior business experience will be valuedComfortable teaching: presentation skills, negotiations, business email etiquette, meeting management, multicultural communication, etc.Excellent communication skills to engage and teach studentsHigh-Speed Internet, Modern Laptop / PC with a microphone and cameraMust comply with local freelance/contractor regulationsWhat are the terms of this freelance role?Paid per lesson taughtTeaching materials provided (depending on language)Remote positionFreedom to set your own scheduleAccess to Busuu Premium, to continue your own language learningOpportunity to interact with and teach students from around the worldValuable teaching experience with one of the industry's leading companiesWhat happens next?IMPORTANT - Please note that we are not actively recruiting for this role at this time.This is an open application to register your interest in Busuu for any language and in the case that language specific positions become available, we will reach out directly based on your application.We will keep your application saved in our database until such time as your are considered for a language specific position.Please feel free to reach out to us to delete your information from our system if you are not happy with us storing it for future vacancies.
