Job Overview
The Site Activation Manager (SAM) within the GSL team at IQVIA is responsible for managing the start-up phase of clinical trials, focusing on site activation from award to enrolment.
The SAM leads and oversees country operations teams to ensure timely delivery of client commitments according to project scope and processes.
You will:
Participate in pre-award and bid defense activities, providing expertise for project strategy.
Develop site activation strategies post-award, including timelines for site identification, regulatory, contracts, and start-up activities across diverse countries.
Oversee execution of activation strategies, ensuring sites are activated on time, within scope and budget, proactively managing risks.
Communicate with clients, project teams, and regulatory specialists regarding site statuses, projections, risks, and opportunities.
Mentor colleagues and ensure accurate maintenance of internal systems, databases, and project plans.
Requirements:
Strong leadership skills to manage projects and multicultural teams.
Experience in project ownership, delivering on time, scope, and budget.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Excellent communication skills, including negotiation and challenging decisions.
Proven track record of delivering quality results on complex projects.
Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues, managers, and sponsors.
