We are seeking a remote, full-time Senior Software Engineer with 8 to 12 years of software programming experience, including a strong background in Golang, Kubernetes, major cloud platforms, and CI/CD. You will fully automate provisioning, deployment, management, and monitoring for a rapidly evolving and highly scalable set of SaaS services. You will work with members of the DevOps team alongside a DevOps architect to ensure best practices are implemented across applications, lead teams in the direction of initiatives, such as CI/CD and enterprise monitoring, and work on support services operational on the cloud.You are the ideal candidate if you enjoy improving engineering efficiency, mentoring junior team members, promoting best practices, and solving problems by digging into the technical details.Our client was named a Top 25 Cybersecurity Company by The Software Report and one of Inc. The client counts 70% of the Fortune 500 companies as customers.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, design, and maintain features that empower developer productivityDesign and implement components of the client's next-generation, internal developer platformRecommend ways to improve system reliability, efficiency, and qualityWork closely with various cross-functional product teamsStay up-to-date on key trends, especially in the area of technologies and frameworks like Kubernetes, Docker, ELK/Prometheus, and moreOwn platform engineeringDevelop REST APIs and contribute to the overall API frameworkUse multiple open software to build a developer platformRequired ExperienceExcellent English communication skills8 to 12 years of experience in software development using programming languagesExperience with Golang, including building API and web servicesExperience with DevOps technologies and methodologies, including Kubernetes, major cloud platforms (preferably AWS), and CI/CDSolid understanding of microservices architecture and container-based software, such as DockerExperience developing microservices and using Cloud Services APIStrong focus on reliability and securitySolid exposure to application performance tuning, memory management, and scalabilityAbility to design highly scalable distributed systems using different open-source technologiesDesired ExperienceUniversity degree or equivalent educational experience (preferably in a STEM field)Additional container technologies besides Docker and KubernetesExperience with Amazon Web Services, such as EC2, VPC, ELB, S3, and CloudFormation, or equivalent services in GCP and/or AzureAdditional InfoEnjoy a fun, fast-growing entrepreneurial companyBe part of a highly collaborative learning culture, share knowledge, be inclusive, learn, and grow together.
