Senior Cmdb Architect

Job Description:We are seeking a skilled CMBD Architect to lead our strategic project focused on redesigning and implementing a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within Jira Service Management.The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical expertise, architecting the future state of configuration management practices, enhancing operational stability, and reinforcing security posture.Conduct a comprehensive diagnostic of the existing JSM Assets environment to establish a baseline.Identify data quality issues, architectural limitations, and process gaps.Engage with key stakeholders to define essential CMDB use cases.Required Skills and Qualifications:Essential Experience:Minimum 8+ years in IT Infrastructure or related fields, with at least 4 years focused on CMDB architecture, design, and governance.Advanced, hands-on expertise with Jira Service Management (Assets), including schema architecture, imports, and complex IQL configuration.Proven experience leading end-to-end CMDB implementation or redesign projects as the primary technical architect.Solid understanding of ITIL principles, particularly Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM).Demonstrated experience integrating external data sources into CMDB via REST APIs and iPaaS platforms.Why This Project?This is a high-visibility consulting engagement where your work will directly influence our operational maturity and IT best practices.You will have autonomy and ownership to design and deliver a foundational data architecture that enhances scalability, security, and reliability across the organization.
