We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our Billing Engineering Team.This team is responsible for powering all internal and external billing services including customer onboarding, subscription management, payments, provisioning, and integrations with enterprise systems.The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Go (Golang) and a solid understanding of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL).They will also have proficiency with Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration and deployment.Our team combines technical expertise, collaboration, and a welcoming approach to work that makes all the difference.We believe that great results are born from strong relationships.About the OpportunityThis role offers a unique opportunity to design, build, and maintain Go-based microservices that power Cloudflare's billing systems.You will be part of a collaborative 6-member team with additional developers supporting from adjacent projects.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain Go-based microservices that power Cloudflare's billing systems.Develop and integrate RESTful APIs that interface with external financial and operational systems.Work with event-driven systems and streaming architectures using Kafka.Manage containerized deployments using Kubernetes and Docker.Collaborate with internal stakeholders across teams to deliver new features and maintain operational excellence.Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues across distributed systems.Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture planning sessions.Contribute to continuous improvement of system reliability, scalability, and security.Required Skills and Qualifications5+ years of professional backend development experience.Strong hands-on experience with Go (Golang).Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and backend microservices.Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL).Proficiency with Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration and deployment.Familiarity with event-driven systems (Kafka or similar).Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment with multiple stakeholders.BenefitsAvenue Code ensures the privacy of all candidates in compliance with regulations such as GDPR, LGPD, CCPA, and CPA.OthersData will be used solely for recruitment processes and may be shared, in a limited manner, with clients and CompassUOL Group companies when necessary to provide services.
