Residential Design Professional

We are seeking a Residential Design Professional to join our team.About the RoleAs a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating and refining construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.You will develop residential building designs that balance function, aesthetics, and compliance.You will work directly with clients and builders feedback to bring projects from concept to reality.You will interpret and apply Canadian building codes, local zoning, and design requirements (Canada-specific training will be provided).You will collaborate with the team to solve design challenges creatively and efficiently.You will contribute to a supportive environment where leadership opportunities are available as we scale.RequirementsExperience in architecture, planning, or technical design is required.Skilled in producing technical documents and construction plans, with a strong understanding of building codes and construction practices.BenefitsThe successful candidate will have a creative thinking style, ability to work under pressure, and excellent communication skills.They must be able to interpret and apply relevant building codes and standards, and demonstrate proficiency in Autodesk software or equivalent.Within 3 months, the candidate will ramp up on local codes and standards, deliver high-quality plans and drawings with team guidance.Within 6 months, they will independently lead parts of design projects and confidently produce client-ready documents and presentations.Within 12 months, the candidate will own a portfolio of completed projects and take leadership on new design initiatives as part of the founding team.Career growth opportunities include Lead Architect: owning projects end-to-end, and Head of Architecture: leading the design function as we expand.
