About You You are a back-end engineer passionate about building scalable, reliable, and maintainable applications.You thrive on writing clean code, applying modern architecture patterns, and leveraging cloud-based solutions.You enjoy solving complex challenges, automating infrastructure, and ensuring that systems are secure, performant, and ready to scale.You're looking for a company where you can keep growing professionally and directly influence technical excellence.You Bring to Applaudo the Following Competencies: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.5+ years of experience in back-end development using Ruby on Rails.Strong experience with AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, and API Gateway.Hands-on experience using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments.Solid understanding of serverless architectures and AWS Lambda functions.Experience designing and consuming RESTful and GraphQL APIs.Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, and background job frameworks (Sidekiq, Resque).Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments.Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies, and proficiency using Jira and Confluence for project tracking.Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.Experience with microservices, GoLang, or Node.js for complementary service integration (nice to have).You Will Be Accountable for the Following Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain Ruby on Rails applications with a focus on scalability and performance.Build and manage AWS infrastructure components using Terraform and DevOps best practices.Implement and maintain serverless solutions leveraging AWS Lambda and related services.Integrate and maintain APIs and external systems, ensuring reliability and data consistency.Refactor legacy components to improve maintainability, performance, and code clarity.Write and maintain automated tests (RSpec, Minitest) to ensure high code quality and coverage.Monitor application performance and proactively address issues or bottlenecks.Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines, ensuring secure, consistent, and efficient deployments.Participate in code reviews, maintaining high-quality development standards.Engage in Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives).Work closely with front-end, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver robust, end-to-end solutions.Additional Information Here at Applaudo Studios values as trust, communication, respect, excellence and team work are our keys to success.We know we are working with the best and thus treat each other with respect and admiration without asking.Submit your application today, and don't miss this opportunity to join the Best Digital team in the RegionWe truly appreciate all the hard and outstanding work our team makes every day at Applaudo Studios, and that's why the perks that we offer, are deeply thought and designed as a way to thank them for their commitment and excellence.Some of our perks and benefits: Celebrations Special discounts* Entertainment area* Modern Work Spaces* Great work environment Private medical insurance**Benefits may vary according to your location and/or availability.Request further information when applying.
