Join to apply for the Data Engineer - Remote, Latin America role at BluelightBluelight Consulting is a leading software consultancy dedicated to designing and developing innovative technology that enhances users' lives.We are expanding across the United States and Central/South America and seek exceptional talent to join our dynamic, diverse team.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain data models for core package applications and reporting databases to describe objects and fields for support documentation and to facilitate custom application development and data integration.Monitor execution and performance of daily pipelines; triage and escalate issues as needed.Collaborate with analytics and business teams to improve data models and data pipelines that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility and enabling data-driven decision-making.Implement processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is accurate and available for key stakeholders.Write unit/integration tests, contribute to engineering documentation, and document work.Perform data analysis to troubleshoot data-related issues and assist in resolution of data issues.Work within AWS/Linux cloud environments in support of data integration solutions.Collaborate with frontend and backend engineers, product managers, and analysts as part of a cross-functional team.Demonstrate teamwork: share knowledge, provide visibility of accomplishments, and follow directions when provided.QualificationsExperience with AWS services including but not limited to S3, Athena, EC2, EMR, and Glue.Ability to resolve ongoing issues with operating the data cluster and integrate data from multiple sources.Experience with database technologies such as SQL Server, Redshift, PostgreSQL, and RDS.Experience with data integration platforms (e.g., Pentaho Kettle, SnapLogic, Talend OpenStudio, Jitterbit, Informatica PowerCenter or similar).Knowledge of IT operations in an always-on service environment; familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills with a strong customer-service mindset.Experience collecting, managing, and reporting on large data stores; awareness of data governance and data quality principles.Business analytics experience including basic metric building and troubleshooting.Understanding of integration architecture, data flow diagrams, source-to-target mappings, and data dictionary reports.Familiarity with Web Services (XML, REST, SOAP).Experience with version control (Git or similar).Experience with BI tools (GoodData preferred, Tableau, Power BI, or similar).Broad experience with multiple RDBMS (MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift) and familiarity with SaaS/cloud data systems (e.g., Salesforce).Data warehouse design concepts (star schemas, change data capture, denormalization).SQL/DDL queries and tuning techniques (indexing, sorting, distribution).BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.3+ years of data pipeline development experience with tools such as SnapLogic, Datastage, Informatica, or related technologies.3+ years of SQL experience; No-SQL experience is a plus.Experience designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines.What You'll Be DoingDevelop and maintain data models for core applications and reporting databases to describe objects and fields for support documentation and data integration.Monitor execution and performance of daily pipelines; triage and escalate issues as needed.Collaborate with analytics and business teams to improve data models and data pipelines for BI tools and data-driven decision-making.Implement data quality monitoring to ensure production data is accurate and available.Write unit/integration tests, contribute to the engineering wiki, and document work.Perform data analysis to troubleshoot data-related issues and assist in resolution.Work within AWS/Linux cloud environments in support of data integration solutions.Collaborate with a team of frontend and backend engineers, product managers, and analysts.Promote teamwork, knowledge sharing, and following directions when provided.Company BenefitsCompetitive salary and bonuses, including performance-based increases.Generous paid time off policyTechnology/Office stipendHealth coverageFlexible working hoursWork remotelyContinuing education, training, conferencesCompany-sponsored coursework, exams, and certificationsBeing a consultant with Bluelight is a challenging and rewarding career where your contributions are valued by clients and can have a direct impact on their business.You will work on a variety of projects with modern technologies and collaborate with skilled professionals.If you're eager to be part of an exciting, growing consultancy, we encourage you to apply.#J-*****-Ljbffr
