Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Monitoring Engineer to lead monitoring initiatives and drive best practices in observability.Collaborate with application teams and stakeholders to develop and implement end-to-end monitoring projects.IDentify and resolve monitoring gaps and performance issues, ensuring seamless system operation.Standardize tagging and continuously improve monitoring processes for enhanced efficiency.Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide expert solutions.Implement SNMP for network infrastructure monitoring integrations and integrate Datadog with ticketing systems for incident handling.Develop and maintain documentation for Datadog configurations and processes, promoting knowledge sharing.Train and mentor team members on Datadog best practices, fostering expertise growth.Required Skills & QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you will need:Datadog certification, demonstrating formal expertise.Hands-on experience with Datadog, with a minimum of 5 years actively working with the platform.Advanced knowledge of APM (Application Performance Monitoring) and log ingestion.Proficiency in Terraform, Python, and container orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.Strong background in incident management, with experience in resolving complex technical issues.Familiarity with cost optimization strategies.AWS experience is a plus.Professional AttributesProactive mindset with leadership qualities, able to independently resolve issues and manage projects.Strong English communication skills, essential for daily interaction with end-users.A team player who collaborates effectively and communicates clearly.
