About OutliantOutliant is a fully-remote, US-based digital product development and startup consulting company.With a team of culturally diverse creators, we conceive seamless digital products and empower clients with innovative solutions.Our core values center on pursuit of excellence, startup mentality, and world-class remote collaboration.About the RoleWe're looking for a Tech Lead who can join the Winona Engineering team.As a Tech Lead, you'll be a trusted advisor, owning the entire technical lifecycle for assigned projects.You'll apply a broad range of specialized skills to tackle complex challenges, requiring innovative solutions and a deep understanding of technical concepts.You'll plan and execute project development independently, fostering collaboration and resolving conflicts within the team.ResponsibilitiesProvide technical direction and leadership for a single team, making key decisions on architecture, frameworks, and tools.Mentor and support engineers through regular one-on-one meetings, facilitating skill development.Escalate issues to the Engineering Manager and Human Resources Director as needed.Promote a healthy, safe, and collaborative work environment.Collaborate closely with engineers on a daily basis, contributing to hands-on coding and implementation.Ensure code quality through rigorous code reviews, pair programming, and adherence to best practices.Work with product managers and designers to translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical specifications.Troubleshoot complex technical issues during development and deployment.Develop and implement a comprehensive technical strategy that aligns with product vision and broader business goals.Lead the technical team in architecting, designing, and delivering high-quality, scalable software solutions.Advocate for industry best practices and ensure consistent coding standards.Identify and implement innovative technical solutions to address complex functionalities and system requirements.Decompose complex technical challenges into clear, actionable tasks.Conduct code reviews and mentor team members to support technical growth and quality output.Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, encouraging open communication and peer learning.Resolve technical conflicts or bottlenecks early, independently or collaboratively.Stay current with emerging technologies and evaluate their relevance for improving development processes.Present work and conduct demos for clients, communicating technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Qualifications6+ years of software development experience, including 1–2 years in a technical lead or equivalent leadership role.Proven experience leading technical projects from inception to completion.Mastery of relevant programming languages, frameworks, and development tools.Strong experience with Contentful, Webflow, WordPress, ReactJS, JavaScript, AWS, PostgreSQL, and Nuxt.js.Deep understanding of system architecture and design patterns.Expertise in agile development methodologies and project management tools.Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).Strong leadership, mentorship, and task delegation capabilities.Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and industry trends.Experience in process improvement and driving change within a team or organization.Employment DetailsSeniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Engineering and Information TechnologyIndustry: Software DevelopmentLocation: 100% remote#J-*****-Ljbffr
