OverviewJoin to apply for the Junior Software Developer role at Nextracker Inc.About the Role We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer to join our team in Sorocaba, Brazil.This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career developer who is eager to grow in a global environment, work with modern technologies, and contribute to public-facing digital products used by our customers worldwide.You'll receive mentorship from senior engineers, participate in design and code reviews, and learn how to build robust, well-documented APIs and backend services that power Nextpower's cloud platforms.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the development and maintenance of backend services and APIs.Help implement OpenAPI (Swagger) specifications and maintain clear API documentation.Collaborate with front-end and DevOps teams to integrate and deploy services.Write clean, maintainable code following best practices and participate in peer code reviews.Assist with application monitoring, debugging, and performance optimization.Contribute to continuous improvement of our development and deployment processes.Contribute to the progression of your professional development.Communicate effectively in English with international team members.Required QualificationsA commitment to continuous learning and your own professional development.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent technical training).2+ years of professional experience in backend software development (internship or academic project experience a plus).Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language – Golang or Python a plus.You'll need to code without AI to pass the interviews.Proficiency in English (spoken and written) — required for communication with global teams.Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with RESTful APIs and OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.Understanding of databases (SQL or NoSQL) and basic data modeling concepts.Some exposure to Docker or containerized environments.Basic understanding of cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).Experience from academic, open-source, or personal projects using modern backend frameworks.Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub, GitLab).Awareness of CI/CD principles and basic DevOps concepts.Interest in renewable energy, IoT, or industrial automation.About NextpowerAt Nextpower, we are driving the global energy transition with an integrated clean energy technology platform that combines intelligent structural, electrical, and digital solutions for utility-scale power plants.Our comprehensive portfolio enables faster project delivery, higher performance, and greater reliability, helping our customers capture the full value of solar power.Our talented worldwide teams are redefining how solar power plants are designed, built, and operated every day with smart technology, data-driven insights, and advanced automation.Together, we're building the foundation for the world's next generation of clean energy infrastructure.#J-*****-Ljbffr#J-*****-Ljbffr
