As THE leader in transit technology, Clever Devices' vision is to make meaningful contributions to worldwide mobility.Our goal is to be the leading provider of exciting technology that improves the quality of mobility in communities around the world.This role will cover either our open B (4PM - 12PM) and C (12PM-8AM) shift as well as weekends.Job SummaryThe Systems Engineer is responsible for leading the deployment of complete systems that include Clever Devices products combined with complementary technologies, including deployment of hardware products and interfaces, to provide a holistic solution that meets customer requirements.The Systems Engineer works closely with the project team to analyze the customer requirements and required functionality early in the project cycle; create design documents, system architecture, requirement matrix and support the customer design reviews, conduct the Factory Acceptance Testing with the customer and lead the subsequent deployment at the Customer site.Execute and complete the System Acceptance Testing along with the customer and all other parties involved in the project The Systems Engineer coordinates all system development and integration tasks to include design, integration and formal testing.The Systems Engineer also works to support the Systems Engineering team.Primary ResponsibilitiesSupports the definition of software and hardware products and interfacesCoordinates system development tasks to include design, integration and formal testingOversees all transitions into customer's deploymentDevelops and completes projects in system specifications, technical and logistical requirements and other disciplinesCreates and maintains programmatic and technical documentation (design docs, requirement matrix, system diagrams, etc) to insure efficient planning and executionManages and documents system configurationsEnsures the deployment of the solution is successfulMaintains a thorough working knowledge of enterprise applications such as BusTime and CleverCADImplements Performance analysis and reliability analysis of the end to end protocolAdheres to protocol revisions and amendments as directed by the Regional Systems Engineering ManagerAssists in other tasks as needed by the Systems Engineering departmentProvides training and guidance to Associates, Project Engineer I / II as needed.Skills Required10+ years experience in engineering development10+ years experience in systems engineering involving hardware, software, data and communications technologiesGood understanding of the J and J protocols and experience with Multiplex systemsHardware design experience and ability to read electrical schematicsExperience with hardware troubleshooting and lab equipmentExperience with network and protocol troubleshooting and toolsWorking knowledge of one or more of the following : C and C++, SQL, VB, JavaScript, HTML, ASP, python, databases, report generation and networkingAbility to independently gather and document requirements and provide design requirements and product definitionStrong computer skills particularly with MS Office including Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint and Project.Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritizeStrong problem solving and troubleshooting skillsStrong written and oral communication skillsBachelors Degree in Engineering or Computer Engineering required, Masters Degree in related discipline.Experience working with public transit is a plusExperience working with public transit is a plusClever Devices is an Affinitive Action / Equal Opportunity Employer#J-*****-Ljbffr
