Software Engineer II / Senior Software EngineerWe are hiring multiple Software Engineers II and Senior Software Engineers to join the Microsoft 365 team.These are remote positions, allowing you to work from the comfort of your homeThe Microsoft 365 team is looking for software engineers to help design and build one of the fastest-growing cloud services at Microsoft.Do you want to work on a product that ships new features every week?If so, the Microsoft 365 team would love to hear from youWe build and operate the largest enterprise cloud productivity system in the world.Across products such as Exchange, Teams, and SharePoint, we power communication, sharing, search, intelligent assistance, extensibility through Microsoft Graph, and more.We maintain high reliability and availability, strong privacy and compliance, and millisecond-level latency.ResponsibilitiesDrive projects through to delivery, removing obstacles to ensure success.Contribute to the design of large-scale distributed software services and solutions.Write clean, well-tested code.Champion and improve team software engineering practices.Mentor junior engineers.Collaborate with related teams to achieve goals.Promote knowledge sharing and contribute to onboarding documentation.Participate in the on-call rotation to monitor service health and manage incidents.QualificationsMain QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering OR equivalent experience.At least 3 years of experience in software design and backend service development.3+ years of hands-on experience in an object-oriented language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, or equivalent experience with C.Global collaboration is integral to our work at Microsoft, and proficiency in English is essential for effective communication in this role.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.Ability to communicate technical details clearly.Experience in DevOps for live services or application frameworks.Cloud services experience; Azure experience is highly desirable.Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to software design.Passion for building reliable, well-tested services.Experience with Agile and iterative development processes.Interpersonal SkillsGrowth mindset: eager to learn, embrace challenges, persist through setbacks, and learn from feedback and others' success.Commitment to diversity and inclusion: fostering a culture where everyone can be authentic and heard.Confident and articulate in expressing ideas to diverse audiences.Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage stakeholder expectations.Self-motivated and collaborative across teams and organizations.Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.Consistent with applicable law, all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, ancestry, citizenship, color, family or medical care leave, gender identity or expression, genetic information, immigration status, marital status, medical condition, national origin, physical or mental disability, political affiliation, protected veteran or military status, race, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by applicable local laws, regulations and ordinances.If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application process, read more about requesting accommodations.#J-*****-Ljbffr
