Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our team.As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining backend systems that power our services.Our team works in a modern, container-based environment built primarily using Golang, Kafka, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL at scale.We value collaboration, mentorship, and knowledge sharing, and we encourage autonomy and ownership among our team members.Responsibilities:Design and maintain Golang-based microservices that power our billing systems.Develop and integrate RESTful APIs that interface with external financial and operational systems.Work with event-driven systems and streaming architectures using Kafka.Manage containerized deployments using Kubernetes and Docker.Collaborate with internal stakeholders across teams to deliver new features and maintain operational excellence.Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues across distributed systems.Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture planning sessions.Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you should have:5+ years of professional backend development experience.Strong hands-on experience with Golang (or proven ability to quickly ramp up).Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and backend microservices.Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL).Proficiency with Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration and deployment.Familiarity with event-driven systems (Kafka or similar).Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.BenefitsWe offer a fast-paced, agile work environment with multiple stakeholders.You will have the opportunity to work on complex projects, collaborate with experienced engineers, and contribute to the growth and success of our organization.OthersAvenue Code ensures the privacy of all candidates in compliance with regulations such as GDPR, LGPD, CCPA, and CPRA.The data will be used solely for recruitment processes and may be shared, in a limited manner, with clients and CompassUOL Group companies when necessary to provide services.
