We bring solutions to physicians by providing constant enhancement of our products and services including EHR, practice management, marketing, patient coordination and billing.Job Purpose and RoleWe are seeking a Cloud Security Engineer with an information security background to be the primary administrator and security agent for our system and telecommunications.
This role maintains upgrades, maintenance, and any installations needed for our employees.
The System Administrator will educate our employees and act as the first point of contact for support within the business for technical needs.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesMonitor all user accounts for least privileges as well as creation of new accounts and removal of old.
This includes Linux system accounts, AWS IAM accounts, VOIP, Email, and othersArchitect, design, implement, and deploy technical security controls on appropriate application of existing security services to solve their problems or enable new business opportunities.Research and evaluate new security technologies to be used as point solutions to gaps where the project is unable to take advantage of or needing greater functionality than reusable enterprise security services.Enhance security team accomplishments and competences by planning delivery of solutions; answering technical and procedural questions for team members; teaching improved processes, mentoring team membersPlan security systems by evaluating network and security technologiesDetermine security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements; conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; identifying integration issues; preparing cost estimatesImplement security systems by specifying intrusion detection methodologies and equipment; directing equipment and software installation and calibration; preparing preventive and reactive measuresMay provide leadership and mentoring in the areas or expertise and architecture to peers, developers, management and business users including technical expertise, coaching, and ad-hoc trainingSupport assurance compliance to required standards, procedures, guidelines and processesDevelop risk-based mitigation strategies for infrastructure, platform, operating systems, and applicationsCreate and maintain vulnerability management policies, procedures, and trainingDesign and implement security automation wherever possibleown any/all technical problemsRespond to calls and emails, provide fast follow-up, and identify solutions.
Collaborate with our internal customers to elaborate on project statuses and winning achievementsPerform server administration tasks, including user management, security protocols, and network maintenance.Monitor for bugs, review incoming data and use existing tools to respond to issues as they arise.Develop and test new technologies as neededPerform routine audits of the systems and perform the nightly backup as directedQualificationsBachelor's degree in technology or computer science is required5+ years experience in cloud infrastructure and information securityCompetent with Bash scriptingProven ability to work well under pressureClear written and verbal communications skillsExperience working with industry-leading vulnerability scanners and the ability to read / understand the information those systems produce to understand what a company's vulnerability landscape looks likeFamiliarity or experience with Common Vulnerability Scoring methodology for rating vulnerability criticalityAbility to work both independently and as part of a team2+years of hands-on experience in IAAS and PAAS on a global scaleStrong experience with cloud virtualization technologies: Docker and AWSFamiliar with AWS shared responsibility model from a security standpointTime management skillsPrior Technical Support experienceStrong knowledge of operating systems, equipment, technology and other performance-monitoring toolsLinux Cloud EngineerLinux AdministrationAWS (Amazon Web Service)DebianNagios or IcingaDNSHAProxyNginxFreePBX a plusLocation: RemoteHours: Available during standard US business hours (9am-5pm EST)This job description is intended to describe the general requirements for the position.
