As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining microservices that power our billing systems.We are looking for an experienced professional with strong hands-on experience in Golang to join our team.About the OpportunityThis is a collaborative role where you will work closely with internal stakeholders across teams to deliver new features and maintain operational excellence.You will design, build, and maintain Golang-based microservices, develop and integrate RESTful APIs, work with event-driven systems and streaming architectures using Kafka, manage containerized deployments using Kubernetes and Docker, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver new features and maintain operational excellence.The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of professional backend development experience, strong hands-on experience with Golang, experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and backend microservices, solid understanding of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL), proficiency with Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration and deployment, familiarity with event-driven systems (Kafka or similar), experience working in Unix/Linux environments, strong debugging and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment with multiple stakeholders.Required Skills and QualificationsBackend Development Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in backend developmentGolang Experience: Strong hands-on experience with GolangAPI Design and Maintenance: Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and backend microservicesDatabases: Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL)Kubernetes and Docker: Proficiency with Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration and deploymentEvent-Driven Systems: Familiarity with event-driven systems (Kafka or similar)Debugging and Problem-Solving: Strong debugging and problem-solving skillsCommunication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration abilitiesAvenue Code ensures candidate privacy in compliance with regulations like GDPR, LGPD, CCPA, and CPRA.Data will be used solely for recruitment processes and may be shared with clients and CompassUOL Group companies when necessary to provide services.
