At Avenue Code, transforming businesses through technology is our passion.As a leading end-to-end development consultancy, we achieve sustainable growth from day one.About the OpportunityWe are seeking skilled Backend Engineers to join our team responsible for powering internal and external billing services.This includes customer onboarding, subscription management, payments, provisioning, and integrations with enterprise systems.The team works in a modern environment built primarily using Golang, Kafka, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL at scale.You'll be part of a collaborative team working on adjacent projects.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain Golang-based microservices powering billing systems.Develop and integrate RESTful APIs interfacing with external financial and operational systems.Work with event-driven systems and streaming architectures using Kafka.Manage containerized deployments using Kubernetes and Docker.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver new features and maintain operational excellence.Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues across distributed systems.Required Skills and Qualifications5+ years of professional backend development experience.Strong hands-on experience with Golang.Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and backend microservices.Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL).Proficiency with Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration and deployment.Familiarity with event-driven systems (Kafka or similar).Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
