Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer 100% Remote | Must have at least 4 hours of overlap with US Eastern Time (EST)About AscenAscen (ascen.Com) is a back-office platform built exclusively for staffing companies.We empower staffing firms to focus on their clients and candidates by providing a robust suite of back-office services—including contractor onboarding, timesheets, payroll, invoicing, funding, and employer of record—within a sleek, white-label, all-in-one platform.We're profitable, experiencing rapid growth (ranked number 78 on the Inc. **** as one of the fastest-growing companies in the US), and backed by a publicly traded company.Now, we're seeking an experienced Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our remote team and help drive our next phase of innovation.Role OverviewIn this role, you will be a crucial contributor to our platform, designing and implementing features across the tech stack, optimizing performance, and ensuring the highest security standards.You'll have a chance to build impactful solutions that streamline staffing operations for our clients.Ideal Qualifications5+ years of experience in Python.5+ years of experience building web applications (FastAPI, Django, or Flask).2+ years of experience with JavaScript frameworks (React or Vue).Comfortable independently developing full-stack features, from backend to frontend.Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.Experience with payments or fintech is preferred.Must be able to work with at least 4 hours of overlap with US Eastern Time (EST).Interview ProcessIntroductory Call – ***** minutesMeet with a member of our team for a brief conversation about your background and the role.Technical Deep Dive – ***** minutesWalk us through a feature or project you've built, focusing on code review, design decisions, improvements, and lessons learned.This is an opportunity to showcase your technical expertise and problem-solving approach.
