Spearhead Middle Mile Logistics OperationsAbout this role:The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing logistics and transportation operations involving the Middle Mile segment of the supply chain.This position involves managing the movement of goods between distribution centers, fulfillment centers, and other key locations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.Key Responsibilities:Develop strategies to optimize Middle Mile supply chain operations.Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and transportation providers for timely delivery of goods.Monitor transportation costs, performance metrics, and KPIs to drive efficiency and cost savings.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including warehouse operations, procurement, and inventory management to streamline operations.Analyze transportation routes, modes of transport, and delivery schedules to improve service levels and reduce lead times.Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in Middle Mile logistics operations.Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.Lead and mentor a team of Middle Mile logistics specialists and coordinators.Required Skills and Qualifications:To succeed in this role, you will need:A Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.A Master's degree is preferred.Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics, or transportation operations, with a focus on the Middle Mile segment.Strong analytical skills and proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and supply chain software.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.Ability to lead a team, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Knowledge of industry best practices, transportation regulations, and market trends in Middle Mile logistics.Certification in supply chain management or logistics is a plus.Experience with continuous improvement methodologies is desirable.
