About the jobAt Avenue Code, we are passionate about transforming businesses through technology.We are a leading end-to-end development consultancy for digital transformation across various markets, growing sustainably since day one.We believe that great results are born from strong relationships.Our team combines technical expertise, collaboration, and a welcoming approach to work that makes all the difference.About the OpportunityWe are seeking aSenior Engineerto join our high-performing engineering team, focused on buildinghighly available, large-scale, and low-latency data platforms.This role is ideal for ahands-on, experienced engineerwho can immediately contribute to solving complex challenges, driving technical excellence, and enhancing our Dev Ops and backend infrastructure.You'll join acollaborative, empowered, and agile teamresponsible for enterprise data distribution applications and backend APIs that serve external customers worldwide, including international markets such asCanada and Japan.This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of critical Dev Ops operations, design scalable solutions, and continuously evolve our platform's reliability, performance, and security.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintainhighly available and scalable backend systemsand APIs.Lead and ownDev Ops initiatives , including CI/CD pipeline management, cloud infrastructure, and container orchestration.Implement and maintain infrastructure as code usingTerraform , ensuring secure, reproducible, and automated deployments.Work closely with stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional teams todeliver new features and improve existing systems.Ensuredisaster recovery readinessand compliance withsecurity best practices.Manage and optimizeAWS services(S3, RDS, Event Bridge, SQS, IAM, VPC, ECR, etc.).Deploy and manageKubernetes (EKS)clusters andDockerimages in production environments.Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems and drive root cause analysis.Maintain high standards ofcode quality, testing, and documentation.Collaborate across engineering teams (Platform, Security, UX) to ensure seamless integration and delivery.Required Qualifications8+ yearsof professional experience infunctional programming , withNode.js / Java Script(not Type Script).Proven experience withDev Opspractices andcloud-native environments.Deep hands-on experience withKubernetes (EKS)andDocker.Expertise withAWS(S3, RDS, Event Bridge, SQS, DMS, Security Groups, IAM, VPCs, ECR).Strong proficiency inSQLand experience withrelational databases(MSSQL, Postgre SQL, My SQL, Aurora, RDS).Experience withCI/CD pipelinesand automated deployment workflows.Familiarity withTerraform(infrastructure as code).Solid understanding ofapplication securityand use of security tools (e.g.,Wiz, Snyk ).Strong debugging, issue resolution, and troubleshooting skills.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work bothindependently and collaborativelyin an agile environment.Pragmatic mindset with a strong sense ofownership and craftsmanship.Nice to Have SkillsExperience withautomated database migrationsand versioning.Background inAPI integration and distribution systems.Familiarity withmonitoring and observability tools(e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).Exposure tomulti-region cloud deployments.Previous experience supportingregulated industriesor compliance-driven environments.Passion formentoringteam members and driving engineering best practices.Avenue Code ensures the privacy of all candidates in compliance with regulations such as GDPR, LGPD, CCPA, and CPRA.The data will be used solely for recruitment processes and may be shared, in a limited manner, with clients and Compass UOL Group companies when necessary to provide services.
