Senior Devops Engineer

We are looking for a full-time, remote Senior DevOps Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our U.S. client's DevOps team.In this role, you will fully automate provisioning, deployment, management, and monitoring for a rapidly evolving and highly scalable set of SaaS products.You will work closely with members of the DevOps team, alongside a DevOps architect, to ensure best practices are implemented across applications.This will involve leading teams on critical initiatives, such as CI/CD and enterprise monitoring, and supporting operational services.This role requires strong problem-solving skills, clear communication, and collaborative teamwork.The right candidate is someone who: Thrives on owning critical systems and takes pride in driving uptime, reliability, and robust incident management Gets energized by designing, building, and scaling automation tooling that empowers other teams and streamlines cross-functional workflows Enjoys championing process improvements, standardizing deployment and reliability practices, and influencing engineering maturity across an organization Displays natural curiosity, constantly measuring, experimenting, and improving from DORA metrics to incident response, and gains fulfillment from reducing manual work through creative scripting and automation Finds satisfaction in mentoring others, running technical workshops or retrospectives, and modeling the behaviors and standards that elevate a DevOps culture Feels called to our client's core values of being bold, powerful, and caring Loves building trusting partnerships across Engineering, QA, and Services, and delights in transforming shared challenges into measurable outcomes Our client is a U.S. fintech software company that offers innovative banking solutions to improve operations and enhance members' financial lives.The company has grown steadily since its inception over thirty years ago, with nearly 300 financial institutions across the United States, U.S. territories, and the Caribbean as customers.Backed by a large private equity company, our client is a recognized market leader helmed by financial industry veterans.Responsibilities Own and drive production system stability, respond to incidents, and improve reliability across critical services Design, build, and maintain automation tooling to support internal teams and streamline cross-team workflows Partner closely with Engineering, QA, and Services to scale DevOps maturity and accelerate delivery Lead efforts to improve system monitoring, alerting, and recovery processes for high uptime and resilience Mentor teammates, champion best practices, and contribute to onboarding, retrospectives, and training Experiment with new tools, processes, and metrics to continuously advance DevOps excellence organization-wide Required Experience Excellent English communication skills 5+ years of hands-on DevOps experience, preferably with ownership of production systems, automation, and reliability in complex environments Deep experience with production operations, incident management, and reliability engineering for complex distributed systems Strong proficiency in automation scripting, such as Python and Bash, and modern CI/CD pipelines Hands-on background with major cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and infrastructure-as-code tools, such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible Proven expertise with monitoring, alerting, and observability tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and Datadog, in production environments Demonstrated ability to mentor others, standardize processes, and drive adoption of best practices across teams Strong collaborator, comfortable working cross-functionally with Engineering, QA, and Services Familiarity with DevOps metrics and frameworks, such as DORA metrics and SRE practices, and a passion for data-driven improvement Creative problem solver who thrives in a bold, influential, and caring team culture Trustworthy, team-oriented, and transparent Preferred Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience;
