Senior System Engineer/Administrator

EdgeUno is looking for a highly experienced and hands-onSenior System Engineer/Administrator to join our Platform & Systems Team.
This is a critical role focused on the architectural evolution, administration, and automation of our core systems and platforms, including BSS/OSS environments, system integrations, and internal infrastructure.You will be instrumental in designing robust architectures, driving system automation and integration initiatives, managing BSS/ODD platforms, and supporting the company's broader digital transformation and AI enablement efforts.This role is ideal for a senior-level professional who enjoys a balance of strategic design, deep technical execution, and cross-team collaboration in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Location & Language RequirementsNative Portuguese speaker (verbal and written).
Must be based in Latin AmericaPreferred time zones: GMT-5, GMT-4, or GMT-6.Willingness to relocate to our Uberlândia office is highly desired but not mandatory.Core Responsibilities1.
Architecture & InfrastructureHelp designing, implementing, and maintaining systems architecture across internal infrastructure and service platforms.Ensure high availability, scalability, and security for mission-critical systems (including BSS, OSS, and internal tools).
Standardize and modernize system deployment strategies across environments (on-premises and hybrid-cloud).2.
Systems Management & AutomationAdminister and support enterprise-grade Windows and Linux-based systems and services.Lead automation efforts for configuration, deployment, monitoring, alerting, and operations using tools like Ansible, Grafana, Intune, NetBox, Kentik, SAP B1, SQL, Zabbix, Terraform, WHMCS, Zoho Suite, CI/CD pipelines, etc.Maintain and evolve Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and configuration management standards.3.
BSS/OSS Platform OversightManage and optimize Business Support Systems (BSS), Operations Support Systems (OSS), and their integrations with customer-facing and internal tools.Ensure data integrity, process consistency, and platform extensibility.Collaborate closely with Product Owners and System Architects, SW Developers, and other stakeholders to evolve these platforms as business requirements change.4.
Systems Integration & EngineeringDevelop and maintain integration solutions between internal and third-party systems using APIs and middleware technologies.Support data pipelines and process automation across systems with experience in tools like, AirByte, Make, n8n, Kentik, Zappier, etc.Participate in performance tuning and incident resolution involving complex systems interactions.5.
AI EnablementCollaborate with Data Science, DataOps, DevOps, CloudOps, Product, and Engineering teams to help identify opportunities for AI/ML integration across our systems landscape.Contribute to the operationalization of AI tools, agents, and pipelines into platform architecture.6.
Documentation & CollaborationWrite and maintain system documentation, architectural diagrams, runbooks, and operational playbooks.Provide mentorship and knowledge sharing within the team.Work cross-functionally with developers, network engineers, and product owners to align on strategic initiatives.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).10+ yearsof experience in system engineering, infrastructure operations, or systems architecture roles.Proven experience in Windows and Linux systems administration and enterprise infrastructure management.Strong understanding of BSS/OSS platforms, including architecture, customization, and lifecycle management.Advanced knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible, n8n, Terraform, and scripting.Familiarity with CI/CD practices, version control systems (Git/GitLab), and agile delivery environments.Solid foundation in networking, security, and systems observability.Experience with systems integration, API-driven automation, and middleware architecture.Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and lead technical initiatives from design to deployment.Strong communication skills in English and Portuguese (Spanish is a plus).
Previous experience in telecom, hosting, datacenter, or infrastructure service providers is a plusNice to HaveBackground in telecom, cloud service providers, or infrastructure-heavy environments.Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
