**Overview**
A Legal Manager to partner with Legal Director and the business teams, in order to advice, provide the support and legal strategy in Brazil and Argentina for commercial and industrial unites, enhancing the compliance culture, controlling and improving legal fees expend, manage contracts.
Responsible also for managing and develop the legal counsel in the Manaus plant and Barueri.
**What You'll Do**:
- Implement, monitor, manage and deal the compliance program/issues in Brazil.
Giving also the respective training to the employees on the polices, anti-corruption, anti money laundry, code of ethics, data privacy and local requirements.
- Build the legal strategy for commercial, procurement and marketing areas of Brazil and Argentina.
- Manage the lawyers that support the business with legal issues in Argentina and Brazil, liaising and aligning with the legal director of the LAM region and Group Legal.
- Control an improve the usage of external counsels in order to decrease legal fees expend
- Manage the local counsel based in Manaus for all the plant requests.
Build the legal strategy of the Manaus ´plant.
- Manage the local counsel based in Barueri for litigation of Brazil and all Argentinian matters.
Build the legal strategy of the Argentinian market
- Be de DPO of BIC Amazonia, ensuring the full compliance of the Data Privacy regulation locally, aligned with GDPR rules (in a Group Level), attending and managing internal audits, and also receiving/building the communication with the Brazilian Data Protection Authority, when needed.
**Qualifications**:
- Law degree
- English and Spanish advanced
- Master ´s degree preferred
- Minimum experience of 10 years as inhouse counsel
- Dealing with contacts, drafting, negotiating and revising
- Conducing matters of corporate law, labor law, marketing law, regulatory, tax, litigation and compliance
- Desirable experience in multinational companies
- Experience with international reports
- Experience with legal matters in Argentina and other countries of South America
- Ability to draft, implement, train and advice on compliance matters, policies and local requirements
- Experience in managing teams, and lawfirms
