SummarySenior React Native Engineer We're looking for a Senior React Native Engineer to drive mobile development for a new digital health platform.
You'll own the mobile app architecture, build high-quality React Native features, and ensure smooth integrations with backend services.
The role involves collaborating closely with backend and design teams to deliver a HIPAA-compliant, scalable app that patients and providers can trust.
You'll participate in architectural decisions for mobile, bring expertise in best practices, and ensure performance and security standards are met.
This position requires someone who can operate as both a hands-on engineer and a trusted technical voice in architecture discussions.Core Requirements - 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 3+ years of recent React Native experience at production scale.
- Strong proficiency with React Native (TypeScript) and modern state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, Recoil, or equivalent).
- - Deep understanding of mobile app architecture: navigation, performance tuning, offline-first workflows, and background tasks.
- Experience with native iOS/Android modules (bridging, push notifications, secure storage).
- Proven ability to design and deliver apps that meet security and compliance standards (secure data storage, encryption, RBAC).
- Familiarity with CI/CD for mobile and release processes for App Store/Google Play.
- Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate across backend, DevOps, and product teams.
- Prior experience contributing to technical decision-making and architecture discussions.Nice to Have - Prior experience in healthcare or other regulated industries.
- Familiarity with GCP, Firebase, or mobile analytics frameworks.
- Experience building cross-platform libraries or contributing to open-source React Native projects.
- Hands-on work with GraphQL (Apollo Client) and secure API integrations.
- Strong understanding of mobile accessibility (WCAG) and performance monitoring tools.
