Cloud Platform Developer/Python Job OpportunityWe are seeking a skilled Python engineer to support and develop new tools and processes for our on-prem private cloud application.Key responsibilities include communicating technical concepts clearly, facilitating discussions, collaborating with stakeholders, providing project updates, and mentoring team members.Key Responsibilities:Develop high-performance cloud and container technologies using Python as the primary programming language;Deliver high-quality solutions and code;Develop unit tests to improve the software development life cycle (SDLC);Investigate and resolve issues reported during testing and customer integration;Participate in agile software development processes;Work with a team focused on containerization, virtualization, and fault-tolerant/carrier-grade development;Contribute to a highly available orchestration platform used for deploying private cloud platforms aimed at 5G and distributed Edge deployments worldwide.Required Skills:Strong backend development skills in Python, with knowledge of Linux Essentials;Understanding of hardware, processes, programs, and components of the Linux Operating System;Experience working with the command line and files;Ability to create and restore compressed backups and archives;Knowledge of system security, users/groups, and file permissions for public and private directories;Ability to create and run simple scripts;Interest in working on development and troubleshooting of a highly distributed orchestration platform supporting multiple vendors;Strong computer networking knowledge and transport layers;Understanding of cloud computing concepts;Experience collaborating across remote teams and time zones, and collaborating with Senior Technical Leaders;Experience with GIT, Jira, Gitlab, and code review tools;Experience with container technologies (Docker, Linux Containers, etc.);Experience with Kubernetes Cluster Administration (designing infrastructure involving one or more Kubernetes clusters, configuring, controlling, and monitoring Kubernetes clusters);Experience with Docker; Experience with Helm.Desirable Skills:Experience with Kubernetes App Development;Experience with PostgreSQL as a developer;Experience with RabbitMQ as a developer.At our organization, we hire professionals based on their skills and qualifications, without discrimination.
