About EightpointEightpoint is an internet technology company specializing in agile development of products and content addressing real-world interests, captivating users and driving significant growth for partners.With offices in the United States and Cayman Islands, Eightpoint collaborates globally on next-generation user-centric offerings.Our ecosystem includes innovative products like Weather Now, a sleek app delivering real-time forecasts with clarity, ranking among top three most-used weather apps in U.S.; Check Heart Rate Now, a quick wellness monitor; Wave Browser, a powerful secure web search.Every product launched engages users, enhances daily life, and delivers real-world value.About the RoleWe seek skilled Android Engineer leading innovative mobile applications using Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) and Jetpack Compose.iOS experience is strong plus, shaping cross-platform architecture and delivering seamless operations across ecosystems.Key Responsibilities:Architect, develop, and maintain mobile applications leveraging KMP for shared business logic and Compose for modern UI design.Collaborate on cross-platform initiatives contributing to both Android and iOS codebases when necessary.Analyze and optimize high-volume mobile systems for performance and scalability.Refactor and revitalize codebases as technology evolves.Lead development efforts for new products and enhancements responding to market changes.Troubleshoot and resolve system failures ensuring high-quality user experiences.Work closely with engineers, designers, and product managers delivering innovative features.Who You Are5+ years of experience in Android development with proficiency in Kotlin.Android Launcher experience is strong plus.Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose and modern Android architecture (MVVM, Clean Architecture).Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) or other cross-platform frameworks.Exposure to or experience with iOS development (Swift or Objective-C) is strong plus.Strong architecture design skills building reusable UI components.Comfortable working on collaborative fast-paced engineering teams.Excellent communication problem-solving and time management skills.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.Self-starter with entrepreneurial drive passion for innovation.
