*Native/Bilingual English is required for this role (read/written/spoken) Please upload your CV Resume in English.Monthly salary: $4,500 - $6,000 USD Our partner is entering an exciting phase of growth, expanding their platform and building intelligent systems that transform how banks and credit unions understand and serve small business customers.They're looking for a Data Engineer who will own and expand the company's data universe — keeping it clean, reliable, and continuously enriched with new, high-value data sources.This role blends hands-on data engineering with strategic data sourcing and evaluation.You'll be responsible not only for designing and maintaining ETL pipelines but also for identifying, assessing, and integrating external data that enhances the company's analytics and product capabilities.You'll collaborate closely with engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver well-structured, impactful data across the organization.What You'll Do: Identify, evaluate, and integrate new data sources (public APIs, commercial datasets, and open data) to enrich the company's data foundation.Design, build, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines to ensure data accuracy, timeliness, and scalability.Collaborate with engineers and data scientists to deliver clean, production-ready datasets that power analytics and product features.Assess data quality, coverage, and business value of new sources to ensure high-impact integration.Own data quality and governance, including validation and consistency checks across systems.Monitor and optimize data workflows for performance and cost efficiency in a cloud-based environment.Contribute to the evolution of the company's data infrastructure and tooling roadmap, with a focus on automation and scalability.What You Bring: Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes.Strong background in data sourcing, ingestion, and integration from external sources (APIs, open data, or third-party datasets).Deep understanding of relational databases and data modeling (PostgreSQL or similar).Familiarity with cloud-based data environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).Ability to evaluate data quality and coverage, identifying opportunities for enrichment and improvement.Comfort working in fast-moving, small teams where you can take ownership and initiative.Excellent communication and documentation skills — you can explain data decisions clearly and collaboratively.Bonus Points For: Experience with financial or business intelligence data, entity resolution, or enrichment frameworks.Familiarity with data orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, etc.).Experience in data quality monitoring or observability frameworks.Fintech, SaaS, or startup experience — especially in data-heavy or analytics-driven environments.Ideal Candidate: You're not just a data engineer — you're a data detective.You love discovering new data sources, assessing their potential, and turning raw, messy information into structured, valuable assets.You think about how data drives real business impact, not just how it flows through pipelines.You thrive in environments where you can take ownership, experiment, and see your work directly influence the product.What You'll Get: The opportunity to build and own the data foundation of a high-growth startup.Competitive compensation.Fully remote work model, with the opportunity to occasionally collaborate in-person.Fast-moving, engaging environment with a team that values both ambition and fun.Benefits: A fully remote position with a structured schedule that supports work-life balance.The opportunity to make a huge impact in an early-stage company defining a new category in financial technology.Two weeks of paid vacation per year.10 paid days for local holidays.*Please note our partner is only looking for full-time dedicated team members who are eager to fully integrate within their team.
