About the RoleRain is a leading fintech company in Latin America, serving millions of employees and backed by top investors.We are looking for a skilled Backend Systems Developer to join our team.This position is remote, allowing you to work from anywhere.As a key member of our Enterprise Tribe, you will play a central role in helping Rain become the #1 platform for financial wellness.You will focus on data integration, data ingestion, and payroll processing, working closely with our product and engineering teams to deliver high-quality results.Responsibilities:Translate product requirements into robust technical solutions, recommending alternative approaches and leading engineering efforts to meet ambitious targets.Design and implement reliable systems and applications within a fully distributed micro-services architecture.Build and maintain integrations with third-party vendors and partners.Develop highly available RESTful APIs supporting user-facing web and mobile applications.Create reusable code and libraries that can be shared across teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring scalability for future projects.Enforce observability best practices, leveraging tools like logging, metrics, and alerting systems.Document technical solutions, including architecture designs, APIs, workflows, and system configurations.Monitor Rain systems and applications for opportunities to maximize performance and scalability.Requirements:5+ years of software development experience.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience.Proficient knowledge of backend programming languages such as Go, Java, Python, and C++.Strong expertise in designing and developing RESTful APIs.Experience with SQL and NoSQL database technologies and understanding of database concepts and internals.Experience building reliable and scalable user-facing applications.Proficiency in designing and implementing scalable distributed systems and microservices architectures.Excellent collaboration skills, with the capacity to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Ability to keep up-to-date with emerging technologies.Experience working with agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
