OverviewWe are seeking an innovative and passionate Senior Software Engineer - Backend to join Feedonomics' fully remote Engineering team.You will collaborate closely with a group of talented engineers to design, implement, and scale mission-critical infrastructure and services for our high-performance, data-focused SaaS platform.ResponsibilitiesDevelop scalable and highly available applications and services that meet business needsAddress infrastructure challenges through code, providing post-release support for applicationsEnhance DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines to improve development efficiency and deployment processesDesign architecture options and guide solutions in collaboration with product owners and engineering leadersPerform failure analysis and actively contribute to preventing repeat issues through insights and recommendationsLead initiatives for Continuous Improvement across systems and infrastructureResearch and recommend tools, processes, and technologies that address specific business challengesProvide industry expertise and apply best practices to improve engineering practices and processesRequirements3+ years of experience in backend programming2+ years of proficiency in PHP (preferred), Python, GoLang, Java, or other backend languages2+ years of working with MySQL or equivalent database technologiesUnderstanding of database schema design and scalability solutionsKnowledge of communication protocols such as TCP, RPC, etc.Background in Distributed Systems and caching technologies like Redis or MemcachedStrong familiarity with Linux operating systems and containerization tools like DockerSkills in full-stack observability tools such as New Relic (strongly preferred)Capability to perform time and memory complexity analysisExpertise in DevOps practices (preferred)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsBS or higher degree in Computer Science or related technical fieldWe offerInternational projects with top brandsWork with global teams of highly skilled, diverse peersEmployee financial programsPaid time off and sick leaveUpskilling, reskilling and certification coursesUnlimited access to the LinkedIn Learning library and 22,000+ coursesGlobal career opportunitiesVolunteer and community involvement opportunitiesEPAM Employee GroupsAward-winning culture recognized by Glassdoor, Newsweek and LinkedInSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionInformation Technology, Engineering, and Business DevelopmentIndustriesSoftware DevelopmentIT Services and IT ConsultingTechnology, Information and Internet#J-18808-Ljbffr
