About EightpointEightpoint is an internet technology company specializing in the agile development of products and content that address real-world interests, captivating users and driving significant growth for partners.With offices in the United States and Cayman Islands, Eightpoint collaborates with partners globally on the next generation of user-centric offerings.Our growing ecosystem includes innovative products like Weather Now, a sleek app that delivers real-time forecasts with clarity and ranks among the top three most-used weather apps in the U.S.; Check Heart Rate Now, a quick and easy wellness monitor; and Wave Browser, a powerful and secure way to search the web.Every product we launch is designed to engage users, enhance daily life, and deliver real-world value.Backed by data and driven by a relentless commitment to quality, Eightpoint moves fast, thinks big, and builds digital experiences that people love.About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Android Engineer to lead the development of innovative mobile applications with a focus on cross-platform initiatives using Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) and Jetpack Compose.Experience with iOS development is a strong plus, as you'll help shape our cross-platform architecture and deliver products that seamlessly operate across Android and iOS ecosystems.Key Responsibilities- Architect, develop, and maintain mobile applications leveraging KMP for shared business logic and Compose for modern UI design.- Collaborate on cross-platform initiatives, contributing to both Android and iOS codebases when necessary.- Analyze and optimize high-volume mobile systems for performance and scalability.- Refactor and revitalize codebases as technology evolves.- Lead development efforts for new products and enhancements to existing products in response to market changes.- Troubleshoot and resolve system failures, ensuring high-quality user experiences.- Work closely with other engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver innovative features.Who You Are- 5+ years of experience in Android development with proficiency in Kotlin- Android Launcher experience is a strong plus- Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose and modern Android architecture (MVVM, Clean Architecture).- Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) or other cross-platform frameworks.- Exposure to or experience with iOS development (Swift or Objective-C) is a strong plus.- Strong architecture design skills and ability to build reusable UI components.- Comfortable working on collaborative, fast-paced engineering teams.- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.- Self-starter with entrepreneurial drive and passion for innovation.
