Linux Infrastructure Expert Wanted

We are seeking a seasoned Linux expert to join our team as we expand our operations globally.This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled engineer to take on new challenges and grow with our organization.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux system administration, experience with scripting languages such as Bash and Python, and knowledge of ITIL best practices.Additionally, the successful candidate will be familiar with network protocols and have good communication skills.Key Responsibilities:Resolving data quality issues by analyzing root causes and collaborating with internal and external vendors to resolve these issues.Supporting on-call duties, incident management, problem resolution, and change management to ensure seamless operation of our systems.Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of real-time data while implementing monitoring tools to detect potential issues.Collaborating with regional and global market data infrastructure teams to share knowledge and expertise.L2 Alert Management: Managing alerts that require technical expertise for resolution and documenting them in the knowledge base.Incident Management: Managing the lifecycle of incidents from identification to resolution, minimizing business impact in production environments.Change Management: Overseeing production changes to the ticker plant, including mandatory updates, content, software changes, and upgrades performed by vendors or internal teams.Other responsibilities include Release Management, Event Management, User Support, and Reporting.Required Skills and Qualifications:Minimum 7 years of experience in infrastructure, systems, or production support roles.Highly skilled in Linux System Administration.Experience with Windows operating systems.Scripting proficiency (Bash and/or Python preferred).Knowledge of networking and connectivity skills, e.g. multicast, routing, switches, TCP/IP.Good communication and oral and written English skills.Understanding of ITIL Foundation and IT Best Practices.Prior experience in banking, investment, or other financial IT environments is advantageous.Nice-to-Have Skills:Experience with ITRS Geneos, EXEGY (Wombat/Vela), or Market Data platforms (Refinitiv TREP/RTDS, Bloomberg).Familiarity with AWS ECS, AWS VPC, Google Cloud.Experience with GitHub/GitLab and automation pipelines.What We Offer:A dynamic, forward-thinking work environment within a top global institution.Flexible working arrangements – remote or hybrid options available.Continuous learning and certification opportunities.Competitive compensation package.Long-term career prospects with international exposure.Inclusive, multicultural team with regular knowledge-sharing and team events.
