Job DescriptionWe are seeking a seasoned mobile engineer to lead the development of our mobile application.The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building and shipping consumer-grade mobile apps using React Native.They should be well-versed in animations, gesture handlers, and high-performance UI.The successful candidate will work closely with the existing engineering team, design, and product to ship an entirely new mobile experience from the ground up.This is a high-impact role where the candidate's work will touch hundreds of thousands of people daily.Key Responsibilities:Rebuild Skip's mobile app from scratch using React NativeLead development of four core tabs: Home, Discover, Workspace, and Cofounder (AI chat)Implement native UI components, gesture systems, animations, and smooth navigationBuild high-performance chat interfaces for AI interactionsIntegrate with Skip's backend (Node/TS) and web toolsBuild token-secure WebView bridges for launching web features inside native shellOwn performance, architecture, and long-term maintainabilityCollaborate with product + design to move quickly and iterateShip new features weekly on a fast-moving roadmapHelp uplevel the engineering team and establish mobile best practicesRequirementsWe need someone with:5+ years of professional experience with React NativeStrong background building and shipping consumer-grade mobile appsDeep experience with animations, gesture handlers, and high-performance UIComfortable owning architecture end-to-endExperience with WebViews + bridging native/web interactionsStrong product sense and ability to work directly with designBias toward execution — we ship fast and iterateStartup mentality: scrappy, ownership-driven, and obsessed with user experienceNice to HaveWe would love to have someone with experience in:TypeScript, Node.js, FirebaseStripe integrationsAi or chat-based interfacesPrior startup (Series A–C) experienceWhy Join Us?You will have the opportunity to:Help build the AI OS for millions of entrepreneursBe part of an elite, high-achieving teamShip fast and own major surface areaFully remote, flexible scheduleBig vision, fast growth, real user impact
