OverviewGMining Services is a multidisciplinary company which provides professional services in the mining industry for underground and open pit mining projects in precious, base, or industrial metals.G Mining Services is one of the most important mining engineering consulting firms in Quebec and among the leading firms renowned for their international projects.GMining Services values its workforce by fostering professional and individual development through unique career opportunities, encouraging collaboration and offering a variety of stimulating challenges, all within a warm, welcoming, safe, and inclusive work environment.To pursue its development, GMining Services is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to fill the position of:Buyer and Contract AdministratorPosition SummaryUnder the supervision of the Director of the Procurement Department, the Buyer and Contract Administrator will be responsible for ensuring contract compliance and follow-up with suppliers and contractors.He or she will work closely with the procurement team, project manager, discipline lead and stakeholders to ensure strong contract governance in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment.The Buyer - Contract Administrator will be specifically responsible for:ResponsibilitiesTake part in RFQs (Feasibility Studies) and RFPs (detail engineering).Initiate and manage the requested proposals, respond to RFIs (Requests for Information) from bidders, including suppliers and contractors, and forward bid packages to the engineering and commercial teams.Collaborate with a team of Buyers, Contract Administrators, Expeditors, Transport & Logistics and Site Material Management throughout the preparation, evaluation, negotiation and execution of contracts.Ensure contract compliance with internal standards, legal requirements and project specifications.Manage contract follow-up on-site, including deliverable validation, contract modifications and claims.Support procurement and construction teams to ensure contractual requirements are met and applied on-site.Actively participate in negotiations with contractors and suppliers to secure optimal conditions tailored to project realities.Monitor performance indicators and produce regular reports on the status of contracts and package progress.Implement and optimize contract processes to ensure efficient contract execution for the project.Train and raise awareness among field teams on best practices in contract management and specific contractual obligations.RequirementsBachelor's degree in contract management, business administration, law, engineering or a related field.No previous experience required in procurement or contract management.The candidate will be trained internally with GMS procedures.Open to receiving mentorship from other departments or sectors.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Experience using SAP, AutoCAD, P&ID, ISO drawings, and Line Drawings in PDF format.Ability to communicate effectively in English, Spanish or French is considered a plus.AbilitiesWillingness to learn and improve.Excellent understanding of Procurement procedures, Procurement Law, Contract law, Insurance, Surety and Bonds.Ability to negotiate the best price with suppliers and resolve contractual issues on-site.Strong leadership, team management and communication skills in a project management context.Attention to detail and rigour in monitoring and enforcing contracts.Adaptability to a fast-paced work environment and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Change management skills and ability to improve internal contract management processes.Ability to adapt to diverse work environments with global suppliers and subcontractors.Additional informationThe position will be based at the G Mining Services office in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.If you feel ready and willing to be part of a team of experienced professionals, involved in various areas of the mining industry and driven by the desire to succeed in the projects in which they are involved, we offer you a challenge that matches your ambitions.Benefits of being part of our teamG Mining cares strongly about the well-being of its employees so that they can thrive in all areas of their lives.The company's family values are reflected across the range of benefits provided to our team members.By joining our team, you will get to enjoy the following benefits:Bonus based on the employee's and the company's performance because we are committed to rewarding employee contributions.Family group insurance (health & dental) as it is important to take care of yourself.Social activities to provide employees opportunities to have fun and connect with each other.Reimbursement program for sports-related expenses to keep you motivated to adopt healthy lifestyle habits.Training program because we value the professional development of our employees.We look forward to reading your resume, which you are invited to send to our Careers Page: G Mining Services is pleased to welcome all applications and is committed to evaluating them without discriminatory bias.We provide equal opportunity for all.#J-*****-Ljbffr
