Based in Sorocaba, Brazil, you will be responsible for coordinating the transportation area, developing and monitoring KPIs, ensuring a high level of service for Shipments and Customers, in terms of time, cost, and quality.
Continuously develop and improve procedures and comply with current regulations.
You will also be responsible for after-sales and ensuring correct freight payment.
Additionally, you will be required to work with innovation, sustainability, and safety.
• Manage the transportation area, covering all operations in Brazil; • Coordinate and operate inbound/outbound freight; • Work with transportation service providers, ensuring the level of service and handling potential incidents; • Directly coordinate the team, lead the team, and liaise with the logistics operation, monitoring related activities;• Directly coordinate the team, lead the team, and liaise with the logistics operation, monitoring related activities; • Responsible for scheduling, scheduling, and loading vehicles according to scheduled dates and times; • Provide resources and information for the execution of all unit transportation activities; • Responsible for reverse logistics; • Develop new solutions and possibilities for efficiency in transportation; • Provide support to the Sales department regarding delivery deadlines for finished products; • Update and implement KPIs, ensuring optimal cost, deadline, and quality levels; • Responsible for developing and controlling efficiencies, working directly to improve processes; • Manage the transportation of raw material and maintenance item collections; • Manage carrier and insurance payments, as well as ensure delivery documentation; • Monitor claims and processes with the insurance company; • Provide freight provision for correct accounting; • Organize after-sales service, ensuring better service; • Responsible for ensuring accurate delivery date information in the system and MTD; • Continuously improve safety in transportation activities, both inside and outside the plant; • Operate with an innovative mindset and stay up-to-date with market trends; • Have a strong focus on sustainability in transportation.We are looking for a professional with the following skills and motivations: • Higher Education • Languages: English and Spanish • Experience in team management • Systems use (TMS, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP preferred) • Transportation supplier management • Supply Chain • Continuous Improvement (Lean, 6 Sigma) • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite • Focus on customer satisfaction • Resilience • Initiative/Proactivity • Time Management and Sense of Urgency • People Management*Prysmian , as an Equal Opportunity Employer, aims to attract and recruit individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities.
