Revenue Accountant

About the role This role is responsible for performing the revenue recognition process from contract inception through the general ledger reconciliation for assigned client portfolios.This is a broad role that includes revenue accounting as well as financial analysis and compliance to GAAP ASC 606 and IFRS 15 and corporate policies.Familiarity with accounting for multiple-element arrangements is preferred.Role & Responsibilities: Perform activities to meet business and financial close requirements Understand, improve and manage the contract approval process from proposal through signature Perform month end closing tasks, journal entries and reconciliations for the assigned clients Assist in preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting requirements including variance analysis Support the external and internal audit process.Prepare and maintain deferred cost analysis.Client margin analysis Required Experience: 5 of more years relevant experience Public accounting combined with industry experience is preferred Experience working together with sales finance & Operational teams to forecast financial results and revenue recognition treatment Experience with US GAAP (ASC 606) and IFRS (IFRS 15) revenue recognition rules (Software company/ IT Service Company experience a plus) Fluent English Availability to work from office on Hybrid mode ( Sao Paulo) Education Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
