Join to apply for the Mid/Senior Backend Engineer (Contractor) role at Braintrust.About the Project:Sellhub is a fast-growing digital platform for creating online stores for digital assets and goods.We are building a robust, modular SaaS platform for e-commerce, community tools, and digital payments.Our monorepo includes event-driven services, REST and tRPC APIs, advanced analytics, payment integrations (Stripe, PayPal, Crypto), and rich user dashboards.We ship fast, value clean architecture, and work in a modern Typescript/Node.js environment.Stack Highlights:Node.js (Typescript, Express, Next.js)PostgreSQL (via Drizzle ORM, Knex)REST, tRPC, and event-driven microservicesPayment integrations: Stripe, PayPal, CryptoCloudflare, Docker, Github ActionsModular monorepo with strict code guidelinesYour Responsibilities:Lead development and refactoring of backend APIs (REST/tRPC) and core business logicArchitect and optimize database schemas, queries, and migrations (PostgreSQL)Integrate and manage third-party payment providers (Stripe, PayPal, Crypto, etc)Drive test coverage and reliability for mission-critical servicesContribute to DevOps and CI/CD improvements (Github Actions, Docker, Cloudflare Workers)Document your decisions and leave the codebase better than you found itWhat We're Looking For:5+ years experience building backend systems (Node.js/Typescript strongly preferred)Solid grasp of PostgreSQL, schema design, and query optimizationDeep experience with API development (REST/tRPC)Payment integrations with Stripe/PayPal (bonus for Crypto or MoR experience)Familiar with Docker, Github Actions, and modern cloud infraTrack record of leading/mentoring engineers in a collaborative remote environmentClear communicator, async-friendly, comfortable in a fast-paced teamNice-to-haves:Experience with event-driven or microservices architectureFamiliarity with Cloudflare Workers or edge computingPrior work on SaaS/marketplace, fintech, or digital product platformsOpen-source contributions or public tech blogSeniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Engineering and Information TechnologyIndustries: Technology, Information and InternetThis job posting is active and available.#J-*****-Ljbffr
