Business Unit:Umtshezi Private HospitalPosted: **********, Closing: **********DescriptionA vacancy exists for aBillings Clerk, reporting to thePatient Administration Manager.The successful candidate will be responsible for medical aid billing by gathering coding and transmitting patient care information to ensure maximum collection for all admissionsCritical OutputsApplication of ICD 10 codes, CPT codes, all medical aid tariffs and billing rules.Daily billing on all in and outpatient accounts (LOC, equipment and stock).Timeous closure and release of discharged patient accounts.Monitor receiving of discharged files and report delay trends.Assist with final audit of all patient accounts prior to release.Monitor release system to ensure complete submission.Liaise with Ward staff, Pharmacy and Theatre to obtain correct CPT codes, stock codes, equipment details, theatre time, type of procedure, anaesthetic gasses, etc.Ensure regular and effective communication with all members of the multi-disciplinary team.Ensure complete and efficient billing of all patient accounts requiring prosthesis.Identify risk areas and give feedback to ManagementRequirementsA nursing qualification preferredPrivate healthcare industry knowledge and an understanding of Medical Scheme rules and regulationsKnowledge of Hospital Information SystemCollaboration/ Relationship BuildingProblem-solving, analysis and judgementResilienceVerbal & written communication and presentation skillsOrganisational awarenessExcellence and quality orientationEthical behaviourTechnical and professional knowledgeDepartmentsAdminUmtshezi Private Hospitalis an equal opportunity employer, external candidates will also be considered.Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted, should you not receive any communication after 2 weeks of closing date kindly consider your application as unsuccessful.#J-*****-Ljbffr
