Job DescriptionBasic Function and Scope of Responsibility:The Software Engineer is primarily responsible for designing, developing, configuring and supporting computer software applications.Essential Job Duties:Manage designated technology application portfolio from reengineering, enhancements and upgrades, to maintenance and monitoringProvide analysis, architectural design and leadership on medium and large complexity projectsWork within and assist with management of defined IT processes and procedures including the company's internal software development life cycle methodology (SDLC)Work with little to no supervision with extreme latitude for independent judgmentProvide guidance and knowledge transfer to peers for areas of expertiseApply proficient application management and administration skills with moderate level of proficiencyServe as liaisons between technical and business departments in order to ensure that all requirements and targets are metConsult with senior peers on non-complex projects to learn through experienceApply basic application management and administration skills with moderate level of proficiencyRepresent department and the organization favorably and in accordance with established Company standards and associate attributes at all timesParticipate in 24x7 On Call rotation supporting break/fix ticket resolution.Other duties as assigned by managementQualificationsMinimum of 3-7 years of successful application & system development and management; database experience utilizing the .NET FrameworkExperience using and applying System Development Lifecycle MethodologiesProven experience leading tasks or projects related to medium to large size software implementationsBachelor's degree in computer science, business or equivalent experience and trainingUp to 3 years of successful application & system development and management; database experience utilizing the .NET FrameworkAnalytical, motivated and ability to learn new technologies and applicationsAbility to multi-taskGoal oriented, with excellent time management and organizational skillsExcellent interpersonal skills, with ability to interact effectively and work efficiently with people at all levels in an organizationAbility to communicate clearly and fluently in English (written and spoken).Keenly attentive to detailAbility to keep sensitive information confidentialPreferred ExperienceSQL Server or OracleLeading projects, developing and administrating Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS): STARLiMS, Harvest, CopiaLeading projects, developing and administrating Specimen Management SystemsLeading projects, developing and administrating Lab Instrument Interfaces connecting instruments to LIMSWorking knowledge of HL7 standard and codingKnowledge of testing laboratory operations and processes a plusCorepointDeveloping and administrating ERP and CRM or other software systems: GreatPlains, SalesForce, CarevoyantHigh level of proficiency with PC based software programs; including project management tools, MS ProjectPhysical RequirementsPhysical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate a keyboard and other office equipment, use a telephone, access file cabinets and other items stored at various levels, including overheadAbility to speak and hear well enough to communicate clearly and understandably with sufficient volume to ensure an accurate exchange of information in normal conversational distance, over the telephone, and in a group settingAbility to continuously operate a personal computer for extended periods of time (4 or more hours)Mental acuity sufficient to collect and interpret data, evaluate, reason, define problems, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, make valid judgments and decisionsAdditional InformationProfessional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.#J-*****-Ljbffr
