Job Overview
The Site Activation Manager (SAM) position within the GSL team at IQVIA is our project manager for the start-up phase, responsible for designing and implementing our strategy for site activation from award until open to enrollment.
The SAM leads and oversees our country operations teams, ensuring that our client commitments are delivered timely and in accordance with project scope and processes.
You will:
Participate in pre-award and bid defense activities, providing start-up expertise input for the project strategy.
Develop the site activation delivery strategy upon award, according to project scope and specifics, including site identification, regulatory, contract, and start-up timelines.
Oversee the execution of the site activation strategy, focusing on delivering sites within the agreed timeline, budget, and scope, proactively identifying and addressing risks.
Communicate with clients, project team members, and local regulatory specialists about site status, activation projections, risks, and opportunities.
Mentor and coach colleagues as needed.
Ensure accurate completion and maintenance of internal systems (especially CTMS), databases, tracking tools, timelines, and project plans.
What do you need to have?
Strong leadership skills to lead projects and multicultural teams.
Experience in project ownership, controlling delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.
Experience managing multiple projects or clients, balancing priorities.
Strong communication skills, including negotiation and decision challenging.
Proven ability to work through others to deliver results on complex projects.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, managers, and sponsors.
