About this roleWe are seeking a highly skilled engineer to join our team.As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and building scalable backend systems and APIs.Key responsibilities include:Designing, building, and maintaining highly available and scalable backend systems and APIsLeading and owning DevOps initiatives, including CI/CD pipeline management, cloud infrastructure, and container orchestrationImplementing and maintaining infrastructure as code using Terraform, ensuring secure, reproducible, and automated deploymentsWorking closely with stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver new features and improve existing systemsRequired qualifications include:8+ years of professional experience in functional programming, with Node.js / JavaScriptProven experience with DevOps practices and cloud-native environmentsDeep hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and DockerExpertise with AWS (S3, RDS, EventBridge, SQS, DMS, Security Groups, IAM, VPCs, ECR)Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Aurora, RDS)Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflowsFamiliarity with Terraform (infrastructure as code)Solid understanding of application security and use of security toolsStrong debugging, issue resolution, and troubleshooting skillsExcellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in an agile environmentNice to have skills include:Experience with automated database migrations and versioningBackground in API integration and distribution systemsFamiliarity with monitoring and observability toolsExposure to multi-region cloud deploymentsPrevious experience supporting regulated industries or compliance-driven environmentsPastion for mentoring team members and driving engineering best practicesAvenue Code ensures the privacy of all candidates in compliance with regulations such as GDPR, LGPD, CCPA, and CPRA.The data will be used solely for recruitment processes and may be shared, in a limited manner, with clients and CompassUOL Group companies when necessary to provide services.Award-winning company culture emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and customer satisfaction.Competitive salary and benefits package offered.This is a full-time position that requires a high level of autonomy and self-motivation.
