Here at Michael Mendez, P.A. we offer compassion, knowledge and the experience needed to attain the American Dream.We are looking for a licensed attorney in Brazil to join our team to assist Attorney Mendez as well as our U.S. based attorneys and paralegals to communicate with clients directly, analyze, research and draft legal documentation associated with U.S. immigration cases. We are looking for someone who loves working with immigrants as much as we do A successful candidate will have excellent writing, research and analytical skills to assume responsibility in an active and diverse immigration practice. An applicant must be fluent in English, Spanish. and Portuguese.Your role will be to serve as a liaison between the attorneys of the firm and the client in order to facilitate a viable immigration application.This role requires excellent communication skills both via email and orally -- it is exceptionally important that we communicate with our clients in both a timely and effective manner.As you gain experience in the U.S. legal process you will have a greater role in devising the strategy to assist the attorneys to obtain approval for our clients.Strong time management and organizational skills are essential to effectively handle the high-volume of cases with which you will be working. We are looking for an attorney who pays attention to detail, communicates exceptionally, has a positive attitude and strong work ethic. We are looking for someone who values the practice of law with purpose and that desires working at an immigration firm that changes the lives of our clients through innovative thinking and collaborative teamwork.We are a growing full-service immigration firm that handles all types of family based and deportation defense related U.S. immigration cases• Licensed Lawyer in Brazil, preferably with a strong focus on writing and research;• 3+ years legal experience is strongly preferred but not required;• Fluency in English, Spanish and Portugues.• Exceptionally strong communication skills;• Strong research and writing skills;• Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and able to work well under deadlines.Fully Remote 40 hours per week during standard business hours.
