About Object Edge: Established in ****, Object Edge is an award-winning digital consultancy working with leading global brands.In a challenging digital landscape, we help businesses differentiate and compete by creating effortless digital experiences.We design, implement, and support commerce, content, subscription, and CPQ with a data-driven, highly collaborative, and best-in-class team.We serve enterprise businesses who need to build digital experiences and want a nimble, personalized, and specialized partner..About the Position: The DBA will be responsible for the availability, performance, integrity, and security of the databases.Primarily with Postgres on Linux and generally other community RDBMS/NoSQL Platforms.This role has the potential to get resources involved in the planning, design, and development of the databases, along with operational support and troubleshooting/resolution of any issues.Location: Remote- Brazil What You'll Do: Core responsibilities include installation, administration, operations, support, and maintenance, monitoring upgrading of database servers to ensure availability, security, with optimal performance.Maintains quality of service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.Responsible for performing query optimization in addition to assisting/reviewing/feedback to stakeholders in writing complex queries, stored procedures/functions, views, DDL/DML scripts.Troubleshot complex database issues in an accurate and timely manner, ensuring compliance with SLAs / OLAs.Maintain database operational, disaster recovery, and backup procedures/processes to ensure continuous availability and speedy recovery.Experience You'll Bring: 5+ years of Database Management experience working with MYSQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle Databases, ideally in Linux environments.Strong working knowledge of Database platforms and their internal engine, storage memory architecture/processes.Preferred Qualifications Must be familiar with working and managing enterprise level mission critical databases with a considerable size of 2+ TBs Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Should possess a nice, pleasant flexible personality and should be willing to work in flexible shift timings (as per requirements).Should be a quick learner, willing to take initiative, enthusiastic about his work, determined, and a hard worker.Excellent analytical and communication/soft skills are required.Experience in managing or using MPP technologies such as Netezza or Teradata.Experience with Cloud platforms/technologies will be a plus Experience in some programming language will be a plus Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience, based on department and role.Object Edge provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics.We believe in providing employees with a work environment free of unlawful discrimination and harassment.In addition to national law requirements, Object Edge complies with applicable state and local laws governing nondiscrimination in employment in every location in which the company has facilities.This applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation, and training.
