The job involves direct customer interaction, so you need to be comfortable explaining your thinking to both engineers and leadership teams.Must-have skillsStrong understanding of routing and switching technologies: IGP, OSPF, EGP, BGP, STP, RSTP, VTP, VSS, vPC, vDC, MSTP, LACP, VLANSolid experience with LAN switch technologies including STP, RSTP, VTP, VSS, MSTP, LACP, VLAN, VXLAN-EVPNHands-on experience with Cisco platforms: ISR 800/******************* series, ASR ****, Catalyst ****, ****, ****, ****Background in installation, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and solution design across routers and switchesStrong communication skills and the ability to explain network strategy to customers and internal teamsComfortable in client-facing situations and capable of driving conversations across cross-functional groupsNice to haveExperience leading customer workshops, creating HLD and LLD documentsService Provider domain exposure: XR, ASR9K, MPLS, BGP, BNG, Segment RoutingFamiliarity with SDA, SD-WAN, or ACIExperience with Nexus switches, UCS, or HyperflexNetwork automation skills using Python, Ansible, Go, or SplunkEducation and CertificationsDegree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldCCNA requiredCCNP is an advantageCCIE Enterprise is preferred
