Job Description:Join Nextracker, a global leader in solar trackers, where innovation meets ambition.At Nextracker, we pride ourselves on our entrepreneurial spirit and corporate ambitions, driving the future of renewable energy.As a key player in our team, you'll be at the forefront of managing trade compliance and mitigating trade-related risks, such as tariffs.Your expertise will ensure smooth international operations, safeguarding our business against potential disruptions and contributing to our mission of sustainable energy solutions.If you're passionate about making a difference in the world of trade compliance and want to be part of a dynamic, forward-thinking company, Nextracker is the place for you.Position Overview: Nextracker is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trade Compliance Manager to oversee trade compliance operations across Latin America.This role will be based in Brazil and will have a dual focus: managing customs operations and tariff mitigation as a new Importer of Record (IOR) in Brazil, and supporting trade requirements for customer projects throughout the rest of LATAM.Additionally, the Trade Compliance Manager will take on global program leadership responsibilities for one core discipline such as classification, customs declarations, export, or screening.Key Responsibilities:Regional Responsibilities (Latin America):Brazil Customs Operations:Manage customs operations as the new Importer of Record (IOR) in Brazil.Ensure compliance with all Brazilian customs regulations and requirements.Develop and implement strategies for tariff mitigation and cost reduction.Coordinate with local customs brokers and authorities to streamline import/export processes.Latin America Trade Compliance:Support trade compliance requirements for customer projects across LATAM.Provide guidance on import/export regulations and ensure adherence to local laws.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and compliant delivery of goods.Monitor and address any trade compliance issues that arise in the region.Global Program Leadership:Core Discipline Leadership:Lead global initiatives for one core trade compliance discipline (e.g., classification, customs declarations, export, screening).Develop and implement global policies and procedures for the assigned discipline.Provide training and support to regional teams to ensure consistent compliance practices.Monitor global trade compliance trends and regulations to keep Nextracker ahead of industry changes.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Business, Law, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in trade compliance, with a focus on LATAM.In-depth knowledge of Brazilian customs regulations and trade compliance requirements.Proven experience in managing customs operations and tariff mitigation.Strong understanding of global trade compliance practices and regulations.Excellent leadership and project management skills.Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and dynamic environment.Proficiency in Portuguese, Spanish and English.At Nextracker, we are leading in the energy transition, providing the most comprehensive portfolio of intelligent solar tracker and software solutions for solar power plants, as well as strategic services to capture the full value of solar power plants for our customers.Our talented worldwide teams are transforming PV plant performance every day with smart technology, data monitoring and analysis services.For us at Nextracker, sustainability is not just a word.It's a core part of our business, values and our operations.Our sustainability efforts are based on five cornerstones: People, Community, Environment, Innovation, and Integrity.We are creative, collaborative and passionate problem-solvers from diverse backgrounds, driven by our shared mission to provide smart solar and software solutions for our customers and to mitigate climate change for future generations.Culture is our Passion
