AI ResearcherWe're seeking an experienced AI researcher to join our team and help us accelerate science in medicine, AI, climate, and more.The role involves designing algorithms that directly impact these fields by building and optimizing semantic search pipelines, graph-based retrieval, and agentic systems.BUILD AND OPTIMIZE SEMANTIC SEARCH PIPESLINESDESIGN AND DEPLOY SCALABLE APIs AND SERVICESARCHITECT, IMPLEMENT, AND PRODUCTIONIZE VECTOR DATABASES AND EMBEDDING-BASED RETRIEVAL SYSTEMSWORK ON GENAI INTEGRATIONS INCLUDING REACT AGENTS, GRAPH AGENTS, PROMPT ENGINEERING, AND LLM ORCHESTRATIONSET UP FULL-STACK SEARCH ENGINES FROM SCRATCHCONTRIBUTE DIRECTLY TO THE INFRASTRUCTURE THAT MAKES CUTTING-EDGE SCIENCE MORE EFFICIENTThis is a hands-on role with real ownership.You will move fast, experiment, and ship production systems that impact thousands of researchers worldwide.Requirements:Strong background in semantic search, vector databases, LLM frameworks, agent-based systems, and document retrievalSkilled in Python for backend development with the ability to build scalable APIs and servicesPast experience deploying systems at scale, including search engines, retrieval pipelines, or embedding modelsAbility to design infrastructure that serves hundreds of concurrent requestsExperience setting up and hosting APIs with public access while balancing speed, cost, and reliabilityA research-driven and pragmatic mindset with a focus on measurable outcomesYou'll work on challenging projects, contribute to the development of cutting-edge technology, and have opportunities for professional growth.
