Job Title: Software EngineeringLocation: Brazil (Remote)Start date: ImmediateAbout the RoleWe are hiring a DevOps Automation Engineer to join our database engineering team and lead the development of tools infrastructure automation and CICD workflows that power our database platforms You will partner closely with database architects to convert infrastructure and deployment needs into scalable maintainable productionready codeThis is a handson engineering role focused on infrastructureascode Python development Kubernetes automation and GitOps delivery not direct database administration You will play a critical role in enabling the team to deliver fast safe and repeatable database solutionsKey ResponsibilitiesDesign implement and maintain infrastructureascode for database environments using TerraformBuild and manage CICD pipelines for database tools and platform deployments using GitHub Actions and Argo CDDevelop and maintain Helm charts for deploying database operators and internal services to KubernetesWrite Python automation for provisioning patching backups secrets and compliance across platformsManage GitOpsbased Kubernetes deployments and environments using Argo CDImplement and standardize secrets management integrations eg Vault AWS Secrets Manager KMSIntegrate observability into database platforms eg Prometheus Grafana New RelicPartner with DB engineers to support automated test environments mocking and validation toolingCreate and maintain internal tooling libraries templates and reusable modulesProduce and maintain documentation for workflows standards and L2 onboardingCore QualificationsInfrastructure CloudProficiency with Terraform for AWS andor multicloud infrastructure modular DRY design remote stateStrong understanding of cloud fundamentals IAM roles VPC networking EC2 storage monitoring KMSKubernetes Deployment AutomationHandson experience with Helm chart creation customization lifecycle managementExperience deploying and managing Kubernetes workloads StatefulSets PVCs RBAC node affinityProficient with Argo CD and GitOps principles for Kubernetes application deliveryAutomation ToolingStrong Python development skills for platform automation tool creation and librariesExperience building and managing CICD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar toolsFamiliarity with configuration and parameterization of database operators CNPG Percona Redis etcExperience integrating secrets automation workflows with Vault External Secrets or similar toolsObservability MonitoringExperience integrating tools such as Prometheus Grafana New Relic and custom exportersUnderstanding of SLOSLAdriven alerting and metrics pipelinesOperational ExcellenceAbility to translate infrastructure and platform needs into scalable codeComfortable creating documentation onboarding guides and reusable templatesEffective communicator able to collaborate with DB engineers SREs and platform teamsOwnership mindset deliver solutions endtoend proactively identify gaps and lead improvementsBonus SkillsFamiliarity with PostgreSQL MySQL MongoDB Redis or other database platformsExperience managing Kubernetes Operators for databasesExperience with secrets management via Vault Agent or External Secrets OperatorExposure to load testing frameworks or validation tooling for infrastruc=(ture componentsExperience supporting internal developer platforms or selfservice tooling layers#J-*****-Ljbffr
