RINA is currently recruiting for a HSE Advisor - Occupational Safety Technician to join its office in Rio de Janeiro within the RINA Consulting QOHSE Division.Mission A Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Advisor typically plays a crucial role in supporting the HSE function within an organization.The role supports the application of the Corporate and Company policies, developing and implementing security policies, guidelines, procedures and protocols, for the security of Company assets, projects and business travels.#LI-KM Key Accountabilities Compliance Monitoring: - Ensure that the organization complies with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.- Monitor and track changes in regulations and update relevant stakeholders.Risk Assessment: - Assist in conducting risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace.- Collaborate with other departments to analyze and mitigate risks.Training and Education: - Support the development and delivery of HSE training programs for employees.- Help create educational materials to promote awareness of health and safety issues.Incident Investigation: - Participate in investigations of accidents, incidents, or near-misses to identify root causes and prevent future occurrences.- Assist in the documentation of incidents and the implementation of corrective actions.Data Analysis: - Collect and analyze HSE data to identify trends and areas for improvement.- Prepare reports on HSE performance and make recommendations based on the analysis.Emergency Response Planning: - Contribute to the development and testing of emergency response plans.- Assist in organizing drills and training exercises for emergency situations.Inspections and Audits: - Support regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures.- Document findings and work with relevant teams to address any deficiencies.Communication: - Assist in the communication of HSE policies and procedures to employees.- Participate in HSE meetings and collaborate with other departments to promote a culture of safety.Documentation and Record Keeping: - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to HSE activities.- Assist in preparing documentation for regulatory agencies and internal audits.Continuous Improvement: - Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in HSE processes and procedures.- Stay informed about industry best practices and incorporate relevant updates into the HSE program.Qualifications Technical degree in occupational satefy is mandatory, along with registration with the Ministry of Labor and Employment.Bachelor's degree is a plus.Good experience in HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) advisory roles, preferably in industrial or construction sectors.Having certifications related to health and safety can enhance a candidate's profile, including ISO *****.Familiarity with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations is crucial.Ability to analyze data and identify trends related to health, safety, and environmental performance.Experience in conducting risk assessments , safety audits, and ensuring compliance with local and international standards.Proficient in developing and delivering HSE training and awareness programs.Competencies CLIENT INTIMACY - Embrace internal and external client needs, expectations, and requirements to ensure maximum satisfaction EARN TRUST - Take everyone's opinion into account and remain open to diversity PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT - Promote commitment by keeping promises as a Role Model MANAGE EMOTIONS - Recognise one's and other's emotions and express and regulate one's reactions PIONEER CHANGE - Actively embrace change and benefit from the new circumstances BUILD NETWORK - Forge trust relationships, across departments, and outside the organization MAKE EFFECTIVE DECISIONS - Structure activities according to priorities, actions, resources and constraint ADDRESS THE WAY - Have a big picture of different situations and reinterpret it in a perspective way THINK FORWARD - Capitalise on experiences and translate them into action plans for the future RINA is a multinational company providing a wide range of services in the energy, marine, certification, infrastructure
