Job Title: Cloud Platform Developer/PythonWe seek a seasoned and highly skilled Python engineer to join our team as we continue to develop and support new tools and processes for our private cloud application.Your role will involve communicating technical concepts clearly, facilitating discussions, collaborating with stakeholders, providing project updates, and mentoring team members.Responsibilities:Develop high-performance cloud and container technologies using Python as the primary programming language;Design and deliver high-quality solutions and code;Create unit tests to improve the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC);Investigate and resolve issues reported during testing and customer integration;Actively participate in all aspects of an agile software development process;Collaborate with a team focused on containerization, virtualization, and fault-tolerant/carrier-grade development;Contribute to a highly available orchestration platform used to deploy private cloud platforms aimed at 5G and distributed Edge deployments worldwide.Required Skills:Solid backend development skills, preferably in Python, with knowledge of Linux Essentials;Moderate understanding of hardware, processes, programs, and the components of the Linux Operating System;Familiarity with working on the command line and with files;Able to create and restore compressed backups and archives;Knowledge of system security, including users/groups and file permissions for public and private directories;Familiarity with creating and running simple scripts;Interest in developing and troubleshooting a highly distributed orchestration platform supporting multiple vendors;Strong computer networking knowledge, including transport layers (TCP/UDP/etc.);Understanding of cloud computing concepts;Experience collaborating effectively across remote teams and time zones, and collaborating with Senior Technical Leaders;Experience with GIT, Jira, Gitlab, and code review tools;Experience with container technologies (e.g., Docker, Linux Containers, etc.);Experience with Kubernetes Cluster Administration (designing infrastructure that involves one or more Kubernetes clusters, configuring, controlling, and monitoring Kubernetes clusters);Experience with Docker;Experience with Helm.Desirable Skills:Experience with Kubernetes App Development (designing and developing applications that run in Kubernetes clusters);Experience with PostgreSQL as a developer;Experience with RabbitMQ as a developer.
