Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking multiple remote, full-time Senior Software Engineers with 5+ years of software development experience and a strong background in Ruby on Rails or Golang, as well as SQL, to join our U.S. client's engineering organization. You will build and maintain clients' software product lines to ensure they deliver value efficiently and reliably for their customers.No two days are the same; you'll never stop learning and growing. Backed by private equity, our client accelerates business performance, improves operational efficiency, and reduces costs.ResponsibilitiesDevelop clean, efficient, and well-documented code using modern software development practicesDiagnose and resolve production issues impacting uptime, stability, or performanceProfile and optimize code, database queries, and API interactions to improve response times and scalabilityCollaborate with Product and QA teams to enhance reliability and maintainability of core systemsParticipate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and performance tuning initiativesContribute to continuous improvement efforts across the full SDLC from incident prevention to automated testing and deploymentRequired ExperienceExcellent English communication skills5+ years of strong experience as a software engineer in a SaaS or cloud-based environmentStrong computer science foundation in algorithmsExperience working on enterprise web application developmentExperience with Ruby and or/GolangExperience with relational databases, such as SQL ServerExperience with JavaScript librariesProficiency with developing SaaS-based applications for any central cloud platformProficiency with Agile methods, Git, or continuous integrationHighly adaptable, capable of learning new technologiesKnowledge of the protocol as well as web services written in SOAP, XML-RPC, REST, or equivalent technologiesUnderstanding of good unit and functional test writingFamiliarity with microservices, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelinesExperience in energy industry software, particularly upstream or midstream workflowsComfortable working within a fast-paced environmentSelf-starter and resourcefulAbility to work independently or as part of a teamTrustworthy, team-oriented, and transparentDesired ExperienceBachelor's degree in computer science or engineeringExperience with oil and gas revenue accounting, gas processing, crude/gas/NGL transportation, or related fieldsAdditional InformationKnowing your ideas are heard and matter, think bigYou get to own your job and be recognized for your contributionsWork with innovative and creative peopleMaking mistakes is human.
